KNOW THY GOD

 KNOW THY GOD

TEXT: Daniel 3:1-30

Can we really say that we know God. We can know a person by how much time we spend with them. How often we spend with God determines how much we know Him.

The story of shadrach, Meshach and Abednego depicts the story of people who really know their God. When king Nebuchadnezzar commanded his people to bow to the golden stature that was erected. Every one of them bowed except these three men. The manner they replied struck me,  'they said o Nebudchadnezzar we are nor careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will deliver us out of thine hand, o king but if not be it known unto thee, o king that we will not serve thy gods nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up'

These are men that believe and trust in God and God showed up for them. Not a single hair was lost. The interesting part is that they were promoted by the king and an order was proclaimed that the God of these men must be reverenced.

In our generation today we may not have a golden stature that we are authorized to bow to. There are other things that serve as replacement like our businesses, jobs, relationship, possession.

Anything that is placed above our relationship with God is a golden stature.

We are often faced with temptation and obstacles but how often can we reply the way these men did. No matter the obstacles and circumstances we are plagued with. God will never leave you, he will pass through every situation with you. At the end you will be prompted and placed on a pedestal. Know thy God because it is only Him that can keep you on track.

STAY BLESSED.
